Gotta’ watch ’em all!

I LOVE Pokemon. I grew up watching the anime and playing some of its games. Though I never had the chance to play all the games, I continue to follow its developments and find ways to play the games.

I have also been entertaining myself with Pokemon videos from the Official Pokemon Channel (youtube.com/user/pokemon) and I would like to share some of my favorites:

#Pokemon20: Pokemon Super Bowl Commercial
Length: 1 minute and 10 seconds

This short yet wonderful video shows kids and young adults training to become masters. Each young Pokemon trainer tells themselves “I can do that” to reach the goal, to become a Pokemon Master.

On a serious note, if you reflect on the video you would realize that you can reach your dreams as long as you believe in yourself and do your best to reach your goal. Anyway, my favorite part of the video is somewhere towards the end where you see cameo appearances from Gyarados, Charizard, Lucario, Magneton, and Pikachu. Since the video was released on January 25, 2016 it has gained more than 10 million views!

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire Animated Trailer
Length: 4:06

I was able to play the original Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire on Gameboy Advance (GBA) and I had fun. Anyway, I really enjoyed this trailer, though it is for the rebooted and improved Ruby and Sapphire, it still gives me nostalgia of the days when me and my brother used to play it on GBA. The thing I really enjoyed about this video is the new additions to the mega-evolved Pokemons.

I think Mega-evolution has been one of the best additions to the Pokemon gameplay despite some criticisms surrounding it. It also features the Primal Reversions of Kyogre and Groudon. For the clueless, here is the definition of Primal Reversion according to Bulbapedia (bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net): “It is similar to Mega Evolution, but, instead of using the energy of people and Pokémon, the user instead absorbs the energy of nature to greatly increase its power. Primal Reversion is said to restore the true powers of a Pokémon.”

Discover Pokemon in the Real World with Pokemon Go
Length: 3:04

I freaked out when I saw this video! Pokemon Go opens a new gaming experience as it allows you to find, catch, trade, and battle Pokemon on you iPhone or Android device! How cool is that. It is really difficult to explain the Pokemon Go concept here so you really have to watch the video and I assure you will be both entertained and intrigued. With Pokemon Go, it will be the closest to having real Pokemon in the real world.

Pokken Tournament Arrives on Wii U Spring 2016
Length: 2:04

Developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Pokken is a fighting game which combines gameplay elements from Tekken with characters from the Pokemon Franchise. This new game also opens a new gaming experience for Pokemon fans. We got used to the turn-based Pokemon battles on the Gameboy but here you get to play Pokemon battles just like what you see in the anime. Personally, I think it’s freaking cool!
