It is easy to grab coffee anywhere in Davao right now. In most commercial and residential centers in the city, you will find a coffee shop of differing quality and offerings.
In the last 10 years, Kape Diaries has been going around Davao City to sustain its caffeine needs. I have featured many coffee shops on my socials and written features of some for my blog. So, it was unsurprising to see that friends and acquaintances would ask me, “Asa pwede mangakape ron? (Where can I get coffee now?)”
At first, I found it odd that I would be asked where to get coffee. I never considered myself a coffee connoisseur, but I know where to get good coffee. However, I got tired of typing long messages of recommendations or information dumping on people. Hence, I published the Kape Diaries Coffee Shop Guide four years ago.
My coffee shop guide seeks to provide you with the necessary information you might be looking for a coffee shop — location, business hours, social media link, Google Maps pin, and recommendations.
The guide is also a curated list. This means that it includes coffee shops that I have visited and would recommend to friends. To put it simply, this is a guide based on personal preferences. If a coffee shop is not on the list, it may mean that I have not visited it yet upon the publication of the guide. I would also not put a coffee shop on the list if I did not see enough to include it in this guide.
The 2025 edition of the coffee shop guide will be different from the previous guide. This edition will cluster coffee shops per area to allow for a more convenient perusal and better decision making on your part. The coffee shops below have been arranged from North to South.

NORTH
This area covers mainly the second district of Davao City. It includes coffee shops in Buhangin, Cabaguio, Lanang, and Indangan.
