Earlier this month, Dairy, a new cafe and desserts place, opened here in Davao City. It is located at V. Mapa St. corner Mabini Extension; just ahead of Saging Republik and just a door away from The Fat Cow.
I first found out about the place on Facebook as a suggested page when I was checking out one of the Facebook pages of one of the local restaurants here.
I made two visits here, the first being during the opening last December 5,2016 and the second was over a week ago with my friend Isa.
THE PLACE
In terms of size, I find Dairy to be quite small. It has two rows of tables, which are able to accommodate singles, those on a date, or a group of four or five people. I also find the place to be well lighted.
THE FOOD
For my first visit, I ordered the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cake (P190); Dairy also offered a complimentary Chocolate Chip Cookie during its opening. Then on the second visit, Isa and I ordered the Strawberry and Cream Verrine (P115), the Matcha Cheese Verrine (P140), and Chocolate Chip Cookie (P45). We also ordered a cup of Latte (P125) to go with our dessert.

I loved the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cake! For someone who loves peanut butter and chocolate pairings, this is one of the best that I have tasted in Davao City. I also love how it is not very sweet; the peanut butter and chocolate combination would usually be too sweet but this cake was not. The slice was also very sulit for P190.

Isa and I enjoyed the Strawberry and Cream Verrine. Strawberry is one of my favorite flavors and I definitely loved this dessert.

On the other had, the Matcha Cheese Verrine was good but not memorable.

Now let’s talk about the Chocolate Chip Cookie. Personally, I think this has got to be one of the best chocolate chip cookies I have tasted! It was just delicious plus it is also not very sweet unlike some chocolate chip cookies. For P45, it was more than what we paid for and as a customer, that makes me very happy.
In terms of pricing, the products here are reasonably priced and I think you get more that what you paid for.
I find the desserts here are not extensive as some desserts place in Davao City but they are definitely of great quality. Those who are not into sweets, would enjoy Dairy’s desserts as they are not very sweet.
THE SERVICE

The service I experienced in my two visits was fairly good. I observed that the servers were professional and attentive to the needs of the customers. I like how they served water without you asking, unlike some cafes where you have to remind the server to get you a glass of water. Our orders were served in less than five minutes after ordering.
BOTTOM LINE
Overall, I definitely enjoyed my visits here. The products are good and priced reasonably. I will definitely be back here, especially for the chocolate chip cookie. I would also recommend that you add this to your food trip one of these days.
