To put it simply, the LEGO Brick Off is like pictionary or charades but instead of drawing or acting the given word, you use Lego pieces to illustrate it.

The champions took home a Lego-built trophy, P30,000 worth of LEGO items, prizes from Krispy Kreme, and of course bragging rights as the first Lego Brick Off Champion.

I have to say, it was not easy playing the Brick Off with my fellow bloggers and media friends. When we went on stage to play the game, I checked the container full of Lego pieces and foud that it was mostly 2×4 bricks though there were a couple of 2×6 bricks too.

With the limited type of bricks, I had to be creative on building the word I want my team mates to guess. Despite some of the words being hard to create, we did manage to get some right. It was an overall fun game. Maybe I should try this with my friends too.

Kids participating in the Monthly Mini Build

It was not only the adults enjoying the LEGO Brick Off as the kids were given a chance to build and express their creativity using LEGO bricks through exciting games like the Build Me game where they were asked to build their own version of an airplane and a donut with a time limit of five minutes.

The kids also got to participate at the Monthly Mini Build (MMB) where they were given a Lego set to build and take home as a souvenir.

The Monthly Mini Build is a monthly hands-on building activity for kids ages four to 14 years held at Lego Certified Stores Nationwide every Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. of the second and fourth week of the month.

Meanwhile, the kids-at-heart enjoyed taking photos with the different life-sized LEGO 3D models.
