While it has been open for a few months already, Hungry Ape had a grand opening on July 18, 2018 offering diners an adventure of flavors with its dishes.
On its grand opening, it is offering a 60 percent off promo in its everything on their menu, except softdrinks and bottled water.
Prior to their grand opening, Hungry Ape held a food tasting for the members of the media and the digital influencer community.
The restaurant prepared an array of dishes that many of us enjoyed.
Among the dishes we tried, here are the five that stood out to me and I recommend you try.
Pork Belly ala Moe
Among the main dishes that we tried, this was my favorite. What I really love about it was its glaze and sauce, which was a good balance of savory and sweet. I also loved how the pork served to us was tender.
Adobo sa Gata
I love adobo and this was an enjoyable dish. What made this dish interesting was the saba banana, which added sweetness to the dish. However, while it was pretty good and a memorable dish, I think it was borderline too sweet.
Baka Tula-sog
This was a really interesting dish because it has chocolate. At first bite, I did not get a taste of the chocolate. But after a few more bites, it was there when I got the taste of chocolate. I love how balanced the dish was.
Smoked Bangus Pasta
This was my favorite of the night. It was smokey and savory. It was simply a great dish overall.
Soufflé Pancake
This fluffy pancake was good. I find it not to be too sweet and was a great way to end the dinner.
