As the Kadayawan week continues, SM City Davao (Ecoland) and SM Lanang Premier will tickle your taste buds and give you an eargasm as they stage the South by Mouth Food and Music Fest from August 16 to 21, 2017.
I ended my busy Wednesday with a visit to the opening of the South by Mouth Food and Music Fest at the SM City Davao on Wednesday night and will run until Friday, August 18, 2017.
Over a dozen food concepts will be satisfying the taste buds of Dabawenyos at SM City Davao’s Parking C, behind the Annex building of the mall. Among the exhibitors are Sisig Factory, Fat Boy’s Kitchen, Shatter, Sugbajeros, Pitstop, South Wings, Gypsy’s, and Tita Rosita’s, among others.
During the opening we were able to try some of the offerings of the purveyors. Among the standouts for me are FatBoy’s Kitchen’s empanadas, South Wings’ Soy Garlic wings, Shatter’s classic kebabs, and Pitstop Smokehouse’s smoked ribs, chicken pops, sausages, and pulled pork.
On Thursday, August 17, evening, get an eargasm with Silent Santuary, who will be serenading the diners at 6 p.m. at the event.
Should you not be able to catch the South by Mouth at SM City Davao, you can also catch it on August 18 to 21 at the Northwing Event Grounds, SM Lanang Premier. Among the expected purveyors are Lobster Shack, La Bodeguita, Backyard Burgers, Viet Café, Cucina Ilocana, Munchtown, Pyro, Neon Pigeon (cold brews!), Perch, and Alibaba, among others.
Up Dharma Down will also be serenading the crowd on August 19 at 7 p.m.
