Breakfast at Rekado

Every day I pass by Rekado on my way going home from work and I took note of the sign outside the store that they are serving breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

I have been to the restaurant a couple of times and even tried out their Kadayawan Menu earlier this month. So far, the food I tried here were great and I would really love to try what they have to offer for breakfast.

After the hectic Kadayawan week, I decided to treat myself here at Rekado for breakfast.

On a Saturday morning, I woke up early to have my breakfast here.

THE PLACE

I like the simplicity Rekado has in terms of both interior and exterior design. I like the floor to ceiling glass windows as it gives lots of natural light into the restaurant.

The restaurant has a lot of seating options for groups, couples, or solo diners.

I love the ambiance of the place during the breakfast rush as it was very relaxing.

THE FOOD

Rekado serves classic Filipino breakfasts with coffee reasonably priced around P170 to P300. You can also choose sandwiches, which are also priced around P170 to over P200.

For my breakfast here, I ordered the Longanisa Skillet (P225), Tocino (P175), and a Strawberry Smoothie (P130).

The Longanisa Skillet was delicious. I think it was flavorful. I also love its cheesiness. I enjoyed every spoonful of it. I like how you can use the toasted pandesal to scoop the longanisa. Be sure to mix the egg, cheese, and longanisa well to fully enjoy the meal.

The Tocino was also delicious and flavorful. The garlic rice that came with it was really good. The tocino I got was also tender.

The Strawberry Smoothie was refreshing and a great drink for breakfast.

THE SERVICE

The service was efficient and the staff were kind and accommodating. I like how the servers would quickly attend to my needs. My orders were also served within 15 minutes.

BOTTOM LINE

Overall, I enjoyed my breakfast at Rekado. It was a great way to start the day with the restaurant’s delicious meals and wonderful service. I will definitely be back here soon.

For those who are looking for a great place to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I do recommend Rekado.
